haven't checked out this place for while, so how r u?i m a bit busy recently, thanks giving shopping, black friday, you know that huh? =) actually most of the shopping are for the tahoe trip, cuz it's my first time to go snowboarding, never know that gonna have to buy so many things, btw, thx for the link, we also checked out REI, the North Face outlet and Sport Authority....it was crazy. but i think girls are feeling good about buying stuff, either it's useful or not, haha..

final is coming this week, i hope i can finish it before the trip, we are leaving for tahoe on Sat. morning, i am extremely excited right now. i've tried skiing before, but not snowboarding, gonna have to try if have a chance. but definitely will try the slot machine cuz we stay right near Nevada =)

and yeah, the first yeah here was a tough time for me. i stayed at home for almost 3 months until school started, i was kinda stuck at home, i didn't know where to go, not many things that i could do. i was bored and feeling lonely most of the time. although i've learned many years english in china and went to study in malaysia, but i was still not confident to talk to people here cuz i was afraid to make mistakes, the differences was very obvious between native speakers and non-native english speakers, really, i felt i was a foreigner in this country, plus homesick made the situation even more hopeless. good things is my husband has always be there supporting me, it took me one year to adapt the life here and i have made some nice friends too.

i have to admit it takes a lot of courage to live in another country that has freedom and racism, culture shock is another problem that many of us would face... well,, things have been working out good so far, cuz we are learning to forgive and tolerant. i don't know if you are feeling the same thing, maybe just me, girls are more emotional and sensitive, i hope you have a great time there.

=)

hi, how's everything going? i guess it should get colder and colder in shanghai now. the mid-term finally was over, man,,,,it's been a long week =)

well, i have no idea how ppl celebrate christmas in shanghai now since it's more like a western thing, but young generations most likely enjoy it, they probably party around or karaoke whole night =) i guess it's a good excuse to hang out with their friends.

i am kinda excited about december, my sis is gonna come and visit me, and we are planning a trip to Tahoe, i've never been there, i know it's freezing cold down there, but i am sure we will have a great time.

so you are gonna stay shanghai for this christmas and chinese new year? no plan coming back here for a vacation, spent some time with your family? i m gonna back in shanghai in the end of Dec., really miss my family...

hey, how you doing? the past week was crazy for me. i had a due assignment needed to be finished,(i hate assignment, i have to do a lot research every time), and we went to pumpkin patch- it was fun =), although i was feeling sick the whole week. i am gonna be busy for the coming week too, have a midterm coming up (headache...). suddenly feel like have so many things going on.

richmond is ghetto? i don't know about that. but i've heard a lot crimes in richmond that scares me, lucky we live in a good neighborhood. one thing i don't like is the transportation sucks, it's damn inconvenience going out if you don't drive. i kinda miss shanghai's buses, taxis and subways that takes you to anywhere. haha

so you classes are in daytime or at night? have any plans for vacation for this charisma's ?

hey i know it sounds unreal that how me and husband met online, but you never know, this is how we call "yuan fen" in chinese. =) yours gonna be yours, no matter how far you apart.

my husband just like you, expect that he wasn't born here. well,,for relatives, i do have a younger sister, she and my parents are still in shanghai. but i don't think the person you mentioned would be her. btw, how do you know the girl and me look alike?

about my feeling for the city, it's kinda small, really. shanghai is at least five times bigger than new york. the city is very windy, i hate that, cuz i am a summer person. but i like the cable car, the green(everywhere are trees and flowers), the ocean, and i like to see ppl jogging on the street, or riding their bikes... i am very impressed by how people enjoy their life, the attitude, the passion they have...

how do you like shanghai so far? any interesting stories to share? you have a good day at work? =)

so am i right about your age? =p well, me and my husband actually met on ICQ which was a chatting program 6 years ago, i guess not many ppl use it right now, but it was quite popular back that time. we started from a friendship, and later we met in person. we both had feeling for each other. but it was hard cuz we were so far away, especially when i went to malaysia and studied there for a year, and maybe it was distance made us closer,so you can tell what's the ending, that's how we met.

yeah i m studying child development, right now i m taking online classes in ccsf, hopefully can transfer to state soon, but who knows when.....

good luck with your girl =)

hey, you remind me those times when i was learning english in a language center. it was a night class and the teacher's english was pretty good, although he came from Denmark. he's a very funny guy, all the students liked him, maybe cuz his teaching style wasn't that kind of stereotype. like he took the whole class to a huge supermarket instead of having the class in the classroom. a foreigner with many chinese holding notebooks and pens, trying to catch everything what the foreigner said. many ppl were looking at us, and some staffs working there even thought we were spy, wanted to know their product selling price, well, you can imagine how it would've looked like. i mean maybe you've seen a lots in the usa, but here is not so common, but we had a lots fun. i can understand how you feel about your class, it not only depends on what material the teacher brings to the class, but also needs the students to interact with. i respect teachers, they are doing the most difficult job in the world, it's not that easy.

well, since you graduated from college, i think you are at least 23 or 24, not sure if you had worked after your graduation, but yeah, you look pretty young. =) i m not that kind of clubbing girls anymore, no time for it plus getting old, hehe. but if you don't have any relatives there, i think social life can help you find a lot fun, and reduce the stress from your work. you know shanghai is a night city, well-known for its night life, so come on, enjoy it. seriously.. =p

so how long are you gonna stay in shanghai? for me, the reason i came here is cuz my mr. right is here. it's a long story. well..maybe you can find your mrs. right there too?

wooo...mine is even longer than yours, hehe.. anyway, have a nice day at work.

hey how's your day? i was quite surprised you said you are teaching english in shanghai now cuz you look so young. what reason drove you there? so how do you like the life there so far? i used to hang out with my friends a lot, especially dancing in a night club, but it was a while ago, kind miss that. =)

i love photography, i wish i could've taken those professional pics, but too bad i didn't take it myself, it was a studio pic. i write to the chinese publications here, anything like short stories about my life and my feeling i experienced here. i always want to write a novel, but it's still in the planning. i am also a part-time student, my major is child development.

it's a lot to read... sorry about that, haha...

hey there, about the question you asked, well ... it's a little complicated to answer. personally i'd love to go back and be with my family. But reality is, i can't just take off when i have responsibilities here, it sucks !

so you came from shanghai too? are you living in the united state now?btw, i enjoy your pics =)
