Foreign men less attractive now
According to many surveys here is something we found out.
FOREIGN men ie White /Black Americans Europeans have been losing their attraction as potential husbands for unmarried Chinese women since the global financial crisis started, a survey by a matchmaker Website shows.
The survey, carried out by www.hongniang.com, used the US banker Lehman Brothers' bankruptcy in September 2008 as a starting point.
Before the crisis, 6,594 women who were married to foreign husbands reported an average score of happiness worth 72. For women aged 25-30 the score was 76 and for women aged 31-40, 68.
After the crisis, the average score dropped to 54 for the 4,377 surveyed, with scores of 63 for the group aged 25-30 and 45 for the group aged 31-40.
The Website did not say how the scores were calculated.
The proportion of women who were willing to marry a foreign man slumped from 42.5 percent to 16.8 percent. And 68 percent now prefer to marry a Chinese man as a first choice, compared with 53 percent before the crisis started, according to the survey.
The change reflects the fact that Chinese women prefer a stable lifestyle, said
Fang Fang, a marriage adviser of www.hongniang.com.
She said Chinese paid more attention to the accumulation of wealth and felt unsafe without savings, while most foreigners did not care that much about saving.

also with 5k a month being a very good salary for a chinese guy in shanghai, i don't know how the hell u're suppose to raise a family let alone pay the rent in shanghai with 5k a month....

sounds like the only reason people liked westerners in the first place was for financial reasons....hahaha i don't know why they would like chinese guys more now the new chinese marriage law is absolutely disgusting... people tell me all the time the new marriage law is ok i'll just sign a prenuptial agreement with my new chinese husband...first of all suing someone in china takes a long time and a lot of money.. if the guy is really rich it is very easy for him to just disappear and why would u go for a rich chinese guy anyways ernai's/mistresses are the norm in china let alone all sorts of ktv escort/prostitution shops and dirty massage places are everywhere.... I guess alot of chinese girls are so desperate and their only mean to survive is to find a rich chinese husband!, i really don't understand it

Yes, that happened since Kimora Lee got married to Russel Simon! And when they called it quits, e'rythang changed everywhere else. And when you say 'FOREIGN MEN' you kinda put all of us... 3 point something billion of us together. I'm a foreigner but I'm not a westerner... well maybe... I'm a westerner, judging by geographical location of where I hail but not from (WILD WILD WEST)
